The New Bedford Rowing Center is honored to have Winthrop John Edwards join us as our Head Coach. Coach Edwards is the current head rowing coach at Mass Maritime Academy, where he has built a program that pushes young people toward excellence. Coach Edwards will continue his work with Mass Maritime as he builds NBRC’s summer youth rowing programs and starts a competitive junior team. His expertise will also contribute to master’s rowing.
As a Level III certified coach with US Rowing, Coach Edwards knows how to build a rowing program from the ground up, and his enthusiasm for the sport is infectious.
